At 5:15 p.m. the lifeless body of the child victim of rape in Yapacaní and who died this Saturday morning, arrived at his home in the Tarija neighborhood of that town. Relatives, neighbors and authorities awaited his arrival to watch over him.
According to ABI, the Ministry of Justice demanded that the judicial authorities and the Public Ministry “urgent actions and exemplary sanctions with the full weight of the law” before the death of the child.
“This State portfolio reiterates its demand for urgent actions and exemplary sanctions with the full weight of the law in the face of such a crime that dismays the population,” reads a statement from the Ministry of Justice and Institutional Transparency, quoted by ABI.
That State portfolio lamented the death of the boy from Yapacaní, after being a victim of the crime of rape and demanded that the judicial authorities and the Public Ministry expand the accusation for the crime of infanticide against those responsible.
“The act was committed with viciousness, fraud and full knowledge (…). As a national government, we maintain comprehensive support for the victim’s family and we will not rest until justice is obtained,” emphasizes the letter to which ABI refers.
