The Charlinco Today, Saturday, April 12, exposes how Congress and Executive Power promoted laws that benefit crime organizing, limiting the work of The Prosecutor’s Office and the Judiciary. Recently, the Congress of the Republic approved in the second vote the reform of the Domain extinction lawin which it is established that this will only proceed if there is a firm criminal sentence, and eliminates the obligation of the investigated to demonstrate the legality of their assets at the beginning of a tax investigation. In addition, from Parliament, modifications have been approved to preliminary detention, the trimming of tax collaboration, requirements to catalog a criminal organization, among others; which were promulgated by the Executive.
Both the Public Prosecutor and the Judiciary rejected these regulations and pointed out that the measures weaken the fight against organized crime and corruption.
