The main challenge for livestock production is how to go through a winter that since the end of summer is going to be very difficult., consequence of the drought. With that as a framework, corn at US$300 a ton is far from the equilibrium price to supplement calves, which is US$230 to US$240, considers Juan Clariget, a researcher at the National Institute for Agricultural Research (INIA).
