The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD) reported that as of December 1, a banknote of 2,000 Dominican pesos series 2021 circulates.
This manufacture was ordered through an international public tender in January 2021, which contains the same characteristics of the banknote with the same value in circulation, which will maintain its liberating force for the payment of all public and private obligations. These security features consist of a security thread that can be combined with the isotype of the institutional visual identity; a geometric mark in relief for the blind; a watermark of the patrician Juan Pablo Duarte that can be seen when exposing the banknote to light; the horizontal numbering of each banknote; and microprints in letters that can be seen with a magnifying glass.
Likewise, the year of printing appears that identifies the series to which it belongs; an isotype with the visual identity of the BCRD and other elements.
