The brand new jackets, both light blue and white, will dress the youth, women’s, beach and indoor teams.
The Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) presented, through its official channels, the new Nike jerseys of its national teams for 2025, with a peculiarity: the only one that will not wear it will be the major men’s 11-a-side soccer jersey.
“The senior men’s team will continue with the model presented for the Copa América 2024,” reported the AUF, adding that the new jerseys “will be used by the youth teams, the senior women’s team, the indoor soccer team and the beach team.”
These shirts present another peculiarity: they are the same ones that Luis Suárez’s children wore in the 2024 Copa América, without the tournament patch and with some differences with respect to the official light blue one that, at the time, caught the attention of several followers in the social networks.
In AUFStore, the AUF online store, they are not yet available for purchase, despite the fact that the AUF and Nike “They continue to work tirelessly to make the clothing available to the fans”as announced by the governing body of Uruguayan football.
Those in charge of debuting the new light blue and white shirts (inside a soccer field) will be the U-20 soccer players, who starting next Saturday will compete in the South American category in Venezuela.
Precisely those directed by Fabián Coito were chosen to show them off in their presentation video, in which more similarities than differences can be seen with respect to the jackets that the senior will continue to wear until the end of 2025, when the World Cup model is launched. 2026.
