The assistant referee of the Humberto Panjoj America Cup has been released from hospital after collapsing during Canada’s 1-0 victory over Peru on Tuesday, tournament organizers CONMEBOL said on Wednesday.

The Guatemalan referee fainted due to dehydration in the hot and humid conditions in Kansas City, but is now in stable condition, ESPN said, citing CONMEBOL.
