It was a possibility and it was finally confirmed. The president of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, decreed as a holiday national this Tuesday, December 20 through a Decree of Necessity and Urgency. In this way, the Argentines will be able to celebrate together with the players the title achieved in the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
The decree will allow fans to celebrate the third World Cup title together with their idols, who will tour the streets and avenues of the city of Buenos Aires, but the epicenter of the celebration will be the Obelisk.
The holiday will affect all public activities and private, with the exception of the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP). Banks will provide services only until noon.
The measure was communicated through decree 820/2022, published this Monday in the Official Gazette. Within this framework, “the various agencies were instructed to implement the necessary measures for the purposes of maintain the continuity of essential services”.
The Argentine delegation arrives in their country at dawn this Tuesday and will remain at the premises of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), in Ezeiza, for later, from noon, start the caravan heading to the Buenos Aires Obelisk.
The bus will depart from Ezeiza at noon, it will take the Ricchieri Highway to the 25 de Mayo Highway; will enter the City of Buenos Aires at the descent of Avenida San Juan and then they will take Avenida 9 de Julio in a northerly direction.
For the return they will march along the Illia Highway and then General Paz to return to Ezeiza.
