Courses for children, young people and adults receive registrations for 2026
With about 15 days to go before the current year’s exams begin, Anglo is already thinking about next school year.
In that sense, the institution on Saravia and Rodó streets has a wide range of services aimed at both children and young people as well as adults.
“We are scheduling 2026, we have already started registration with great success. We already have several new students for next year and we are waiting for them.” highlighted the Professor Elisa Rosas.
“We have proposals for children from 7 years old. Then everything that is the curriculum of the rest of the degree and also classes for adults, which is a new proposal that has been taught for about 3 years that has been in high demand by people who want to learn English because they are going to travel or because they want to improve their place at work, because they already have a base of the language and want to update it. We are there with the classes for adults” reported the Director of the Anglo Institute.
This offer of courses for seniors is taught at night precisely so that they are compatible with the working world of students. “The experience has been really very positive, we have had very good results” he assured.
Those interested can call or send a WHATSAPP message to 092 336 340. “All the information can be channeled through that route, and they can also go through Anglo, we are at Saravia 849 and José Enrique Rodó. We serve from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.” he remembered.
Anglo is an institution with a long history in the department, to the point that it is preparing to celebrate the 75 years of its foundation. “When the time comes we are going to have a nice party” the Director promised.
“We have national support. If a student who studied a certain number of years with us moves to another department, which happens a lot today, they can continue their English studies in the Anglo language of the place where they are going to live” projection. “We also have the support of the University of Cambridge with its international exams. We prepare the students here in Melo and they no longer have to travel to Montevideo to take that final exam, they can do it here at home” he added.
Professor Elisa Rosas said that today English is the key to everything.
“Over time we have seen how children already come with a significant load of the language just by being at home with video games, by having access to the internet, it is wonderful what this has caused in some situations. Not everyone has that facility, but there are cases of children who are impressive in how they have learned English and come with knowledge. At Anglo they complete that base because there are formalities that must be taken when, for example, entering the world of work” he pointed out.
“Today we no longer speak English from the United Kingdom or English from the United States, everything is very globalized” he stressed.
“The kids come to high school with the English of the Institutes and they do much better because the English we study at Anglo is much deeper” he explained.
“It can represent a life change to have the certificate and be able to speak the language. There are many young people who want to leave the country, at least to try the experience to be able to return, and having the language is essential” ended by saying Elisa Rosas, Director of the Anglo de Melo Institute.
