The president of the Permanent Commission for Comprehensive Social Development of the National Assembly (AN), representative Pedro Infante, presented the management balance sheet of the parliamentary instance of 2022, detailing that they approved 13 laws.
According to an institutional press release, the legislator explained that, among these, the Special Law for Home Workers was sanctioned by the Legislative Power, which was sent to the National Executive for its promulgation.
He stressed that the purpose of the law is to ensure and guarantee the labor rights of the sector and respond to a productive and rewarding life for these workers and their families, thereby allowing the full development of their potential.
Meanwhile, within the commission, the reports to be presented in the second discussion before the AN were approved, on the Reform of the National Holidays Law, the Student Participation Law of the Basic Education Subsystem and the Law for Women Workers and Workers with Disabilities.
Regarding the latter, Infante highlighted that it was consulted throughout the national territory, through 525 assemblies in which 14,000 people participated, resulting in more than a thousand proposals on the document.
Among the laws approved in the first discussion, before the Plenary, are the Law for Peaceful Student Coexistence, the Special Law for Agricultural Workers and the Law for Comprehensive Care for People with Autism Spectrum Disorders (TEA).
Regarding the norms approved in the first discussion in the commission, there are: Law of Reform of the Organic Law of Sport, Physical Activity and Physical Education, Special Law of Labor in Land Transportation, Special Law of Motorized Workers and Women Workers Motorized, Reform of Law of the National Institute of Nutrition, Special Law of Labor in Air Transport and the Special Law of Cultural Workers.
Infante reported that the commission approved three agreements: One of them for the commemoration of the Twenty-eighth Anniversary of the Glorious Battle of Victory on February 12, 1814, Youth Day. Another, for International Women’s Day and the agreement to celebrate International Worker’s Day on May 1st.
Likewise, it stated that the parliamentary body granted rights to speak to the Sexodiversity Movement, the Movement of Residents, the Federation of Associations of Insurance Producers of Venezuela (Fecoprose) and representatives of the Union of Workers of the contractor Induservis CA, the Women’s Movement ( Green Route).
Finally, Deputy Infante announced that they will continue to advance in the consolidation of laws that lead to the well-being of the various sectors of the country.
