Economy Minister Sergio Massa met this Thursday in Washington with Dina Siegel Vann, director of the American Jewish Committee, who conveyed her “deep concern” about the attempted assassination of Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
As part of Massa’s tour of the United States this week, the minister went today to the committee’s headquarters and held a meeting with his authorities for an hour, in which the United States ambassador to Argentina also participated. Mark Stanley.
At the meeting, Siegel Vann handed Massa a book for the head of the Chamber of Deputies, Cecilia Moreau, titled “Translating Hate, To Fight Anti-Semitism We Need to Understand.”
As Télam was able to reconstruct, at the meeting, Siegel Vann was seriously affected by the attack suffered by Fernández de Kirchner and even commented that she was going to write a letter to the Vice President.
Massa, who was accompanied by his adviser Gustavo Martínez Pandiani, was surprised by the sincere affectation of the directive, and combined to continue conversations on initiatives to try to avoid this type of episode.
At the meeting, Siegel Vann handed Massa a book for the head of the Chamber of Deputies, Cecilia Moreau, entitled “Translating hate, To combat anti-Semitism we need to understand”, a glossary of anti-Semitic phrases, images and words, with the expectation of putting together actions that help raise awareness in this regard in Argentina.
