The alleged perpetrators of the shooting occurred days ago in Havana, which left two injured, were arrested this Saturday, according to official sources.
“In hours of the night of yesterday, the citizens who allegedly caused injuries to two people by shooting a firearm, on May 25, in the Centro Habana municipality, were detained by joint forces of the Ministry of the Interior.” refers the local newspaper.
The outlet, citing a publication on social networks, reports that “both detainees were identified as Lázaro Reynier Valiente Mejías and Yordany Poyeaux Pozo, aged 34 and 26, respectively.”
Said information was also published on Facebook by the government of the Cuban capital, according to which witnesses of the police action narrated that the two men “were hiding in a house in the Los Callejones neighborhood, of the Reparto Eléctrico, municipality of Arroyo Naranjo.” .
The publication of the highest authorities in Havana recognizes “the permanent collaboration of the people to capture those involved, who had injured two people, aged 37 and 50, on Consulado street, between Ánima and Trocadero, for an alleged reckoning”.
One of the people wounded by a bullet in the incident is the director of the “Raíces Profundas” Folkloric Company, which “had nothing to do with the dispute,” recalls the information.
