The National Police reported this afternoon that the young Luis Alberto José Vallejo, 20 years old, turned himself in, who is part of an investigative process related to several robberies and electronic crimes and whose search led to an incident in which a 17-year-old young man was killed in Sabana Grande de Boyá, Monte Plata, after being injured by a police officer.

This is Luis Alberto, who has arrest warrant No. 2024-TAUT-01176. It was delivered to the National Police Palace through a commission headed by the mayor of said municipality, Marcos Távarez, and the priest Juan Carlos de la Rosa Joaquín, and was received by Colonel Diego Pesqueira, director of Strategic Communications.

Colonel Pesqueira assured that the detainee will be investigated by the competent personnel of the institution, guaranteeing full respect for his fundamental rights.

Subsequently, the detainee was sent to the corresponding Investigation Department in compliance with the aforementioned arrest order.

It is recalled that, in relation to the case in which the teenager Alexander Silva died, Second Lieutenant Rosario Bernardo Joseph, who commanded the patrol and was allegedly the author of the shot, was brought to justice via the Public Ministry.
