In the hands of the police authorities, the woman who allegedly dressed as a nurse would have abducted a newborn last Saturday from the postpartum ward of the San Lorenzo de Los Mina Maternal and Child Hospital, Santo Domingo Este.
The female -whose name was not revealed- was arrested by agents attached to the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM), in a house located on the main street of the Castillo Cerrejón community, from the municipality of Nagua, María Trinidad Sánchez province, place where the daughter of Gerali Payano.
The National Police indicated that at the time of the intervention, the little girl was lying down and fully covered next to the alleged perpetrator of the act.

Preliminary reports indicate that DICRIM agents They had various information regarding the case. including the version that the perpetrators of the kidnapping were part of a dangerous gang and that they were heavily armed.
“Based on this information and with the support of field surveys, testimonies and other elements, the DICRIM officers carried out the incursion into the aforementioned house, unaware how they would be received by the occupants of it,” said the uniformed woman in a Press release.
He recalled that in relation to the case, DICRIM officials have interviewed more than 10 people in search of information that allowed the girl to be located and rescued and returned to her mother’s arms.
