The alert for dust from the Sahara in Panama is extended

The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) extended until this Tuesday, May 24, the prevention notice for the entry of particles or Saharan dust in Colón, Guna Yala, the metropolitan area and Panamá Oeste.

These are microparticles of dust from the Sahara desert that are transported by wind flows.

Particles of 15 to 25 micrograms per cubic meter, slightly moderate, are expected in Panama, which could cause damage or discomfort to people prone to allergies or sensitive respiratory tract.
