The AICM distances itself from the theft of a helicopter in its hangars

“The AICM specifies that the helicopter hangars are rented to legal entities duly accredited by the aeronautical authority, to provide custody and maintenance services for this type of aircraft. Therefore, their custody and operation is the exclusive responsibility of those companies and the personnel they hire,” the AICM posted on Twitter.

What happened at the AICM?

A private helicopter was allegedly stolen from the AICM, according to reporter Carlos Jiménez on Twitter.

It is a Bell 206 model Jet Ranger helicopter that would have been stolen from one of the airport hangars; the reported ship was rented for private flights.

According to preliminary reports, the aircraft with registration number XB-JSR was stolen on August 3 from the Centro Ejecutivo De Helicopteros FBO SA de CV, in zone G of the airport hangars.

The owner of the helicopter, Jesús Silvestre, was reported missing on June 24 before the Morelos Attorney General’s Office.

The man was able to return home from what according to preliminary reports was plagiarism; however, when informed about the theft, his wife pointed out that there was a debt accumulated for the shelter of the ship during Silvestre’s disappearance. She also clarified that the debt was paid.
