The first General Assembly was held yesterday, in which the creation of the “Asociación Juventud Agro Panamá” was approved, with the support of the Ministry of Agricultural Development and the Coordination of Rural Development. During the assembly, the process to obtain legal status for the new organization was initiated.
The Association’s main objective is to support the country’s producers and promote initiatives in key areas such as innovation, education, market development, agroindustry, agrotourism and the formulation of public policies that benefit the productive sector.
The board of directors elected for the 2024-2027 period is composed of:
- President: Christian Elisondro
- Vice President: Sergio Forero
- Secretary: Kimberly Suira
- Treasurer: Jose The Political
- Fiscal: Gabriel Zebede
- Vocal: Jesus Berrio
With this new partnership, the young people are committed to strengthening the Panamanian agricultural sector and working together to face current challenges in the countryside.
