The Government made changes to the agreement with the IMF to have the support of the opposition
In view of how divided the political parties were, and that the ruling party had not assured its support for the proposal, the Government decided at the last minute to make some changes to the document.
This mainly at the request of the opposition, which assured that it would vote only for the refinancing and not because of the economic program, so in the end, in order to achieve consensus, the second topic was not included.
In this sense, the Government will be in charge of defining what and how the economic program will be to comply with the agreements that were established with the organism and to cover the debt of 44 billion dollars left by the previous administration.
