Santo Domingo.-The agreement signed by César Emilio Peralta, known as “César El Abusador”, implies a penalty of 120 months in prison (10 years), the admission of guilt for drug trafficking crimes and providing information on the drug trafficking network in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Venezuela and Colombia.
The agreement now waits for the judge’s decision on whether he welcomes the terms between the two parties.
The document, of which the day obtained a copy, also establishes that the Federal Prosecutor’s Office will dismiss pending charges against César Emilio Peralta Adames in exchange for its admission of guilt and the delivery of relevant information.
Likewise, the Prosecutor’s Office requested that the judge order the confiscation of goods in favor of Puerto Rico, among which are the Business Flow Gallery Lounge, to Panino and Peralta Investment, S. A, used to commit the illicit.
Indicates that all properties are located in the Dominican Republic.
The parties understand that the Court is not obliged to accept the stipulations established in the negotiation between the Federal Prosecutor’s Office and the defendant.
According to the accusation of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office, which contains imputations of criminal acts from approximately 2007 to June 2017, in that period Peralta conspired with other people, known and unknown, to import five kilograms or more cocaine, a controlled substance of list II.
The operations were carried out from the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Colombia and the Dutch Antilles.
Peralta was extradited from Colombia to Puerto Rico on December 22, 2021, date from which he keeps prison on the island.
On that occasion, he declared himself not guilty of the drug trafficking charges that are imputed to him, an attitude that has varied by negotiating with the Federal Prosecutor’s Office, which initially would have requested five years in prison for drug trafficking charges, conspiracy and money laundering under US jurisdiction.
He fled the country
The accused of drug trafficking left the Dominican Republic at a yacht at the end of 2019, after noticing an investigation against him to execute his arrest, but was finally arrested in Colombia in December 2019.
Two years after his arrest by the Colombian police, Peralta Adames was extradited to Puerto Rico.
More than three years after their entry to jail for unconcepted persons, located in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, the capo is waiting for the Court’s decision on the agreement.
The decision of a judge of the Federal Court of Puerto Rico is scheduled to be known on October 23, when it will be known whether or not the guilt agreement signed between the Federal Prosecutor’s Office and César El Abusador, who admitted to having trafficked large drug loads to that country from the Dominican Republic.
At the beginning of last year Dominican authorities announced the beginning of a process of appraisal of the goods seized to several people for their relationship with drug trafficking, including those of César El Abusador. This would affect the agreement reached in Puerto Rico
