The Society of Friends of the Afro Antillean Museum of Panama (SAMAAP) invites the public to participate in the (41st) XLI “Great Afro Antillean Fair”.
This event will take place at the ATLAPA Convention Center, San Francisco, on Saturday February 18 and Sunday February 19, 2023 (Carnival) from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm
This year at the 41st Great Afro-Caribbean Fair, its organizers recommend the use of masks when they are not eating food.
In the culinary area:
You can taste: Stuffed fried fish, cod, cod towers, “One Pot” (Antillean paella), rice with coconut, rice with pigeon pea and pig tail, chicken curry, Jamaican style beef tail, cuckoo with cod, chicken stew, bon bread, plantain tart, patty, saus (pork feet), “ginger beer”, “ising glass” and “sea moss”, the latter with attributed aphrodisiac properties; also saril, lemonade, fruit jam, enyucado, other diverse dishes in a wide menu.
In the craft area:
Varied handicrafts, Afro dresses such as Dashiki, Afro hats (Kufi), wooden garments, works of art, books, jewelry, ornaments, paintings, etc.
A varied show will be offered:
-Musical and dances – Grupo Acuarela Tropical
-Pacific Quadrille Group
-Coraza Group of Prof. Mireya Navarro
-We will have Afros changing room catwalks

In the Children’s Corner area:
Jump Jump (A $3.00 entrance fee will be charged for the use of the jump jump) and many other surprises.
Reign:
The fair, like other years, will have its Afro-Panamanian Queen. The coronation of Queen Kamile 1st (Kamile Sujane Mullings Belgrave), will take place on Saturday 18, between 3:30 and 4:00 pm
The donation per adult is B/. 6.00 and for children (under 6 to 12 years old) B/.3.00. This donation will benefit the Afro-Antillean Museum of Panama. Tickets will be sold at the door starting at 12 noon.
