The AFIP will apply fines for irregular billing and labor informality

The Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) carried out this weekend a control operation in the main places of the gastronomic corridor of Madero Portin which differences in billing and labor informality were detected and fines will be applied to non-compliers, reported the tax agency.

In a statement, the AFIP pointed out that “during the controls, the inspectors detected differences of up to 200% between the observed and declared sales and 25% of labor informality among the relieved workers”.

The agency reported that “companies that fail to comply they will receive millionaire fines“.

Also during this week, procedures were carried out in supermarkets on the Atlantic Coast where cases of labor exploitation and child and unregistered employment were detected.

Likewise, in a joint effort with the Collection Agency of the Province of Buenos Aires (ARBA), 37 undeclared vessels in a nautical nursery in San Isidro.

The procedure in the gastronomic premises of Puerto Madero lasted throughout the day on Friday and the AFIP inspectors compared the externalized income in previous months, in order to detect possible deviations in the sales reported in their affidavits.

The agency noted that “it was found that sales under control were significantly higher than those declared, after the comparison between what was recorded on the day of the operation and the daily average of the last few months. In some places, the inconsistencies exceeded 200% with respect to what was declared. and the establishments that presented the greatest deviations will be incorporated into the organism’s control process.”

Of the 139 workers surveyed, various irregularities were detected, among which it is worth noting that almost 25% of verified personnel were unregistered.

At the same time, the AFIP said that “throughout the summer season and in the main tourist centers of the country, a set of coordinated actions were developed to prevent and detect possible tax evasion maneuvers.”

“More than 200 inspectors from all over the country They participated in the different face-to-face control and inspection tasks carried out on restaurants, shopping centers, spas, breweries, hotels and nautical nurseries. During the operations, not only is the correct invoicing and determination of taxes verified, but compliance with the rights of the workers is also analyzed, as well as the payment of obligations related to contributions and social security contributions,” the agency remarked.

The AFIP emphasized that “the main objective is the early detection of breaches of billing and social security regulations, applying the corresponding sanctions in accordance with current regulations.”

These coordinated actions between the General Tax Directorate and the General Directorate of Social Security Resources are intended to protect the rights of male and female workers, generating labor inclusion, and at the same time a greater perception of risk among employers, inducing them to comply with current regulations.
