The Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) issued 138 infraction certificates and relieved 706 workers in 162 businesses across the country at the start of Operation Summer 2023, as officially reported.
The tax agency led by Carlos Castagneto deployed 486 officials who visited neighborhood supermarkets and local businesses, in the 23 provinces and the City of Buenos Aires.
“Of the 138 minutes drawn up for infringement, 30% could lead to sanctions and closures mainly due to breaches in billing and the lack of means of payment”indicated the AFIP in a statement.
Regarding the relieved workers, the agency will control their correct registration and registration as an employee.
On the other hand, customs personnel seized items imported from bazaars that did not have supporting documentation in several shops.
The tasks were carried out jointly by staff from the General Directorate of Taxes, the General Directorate of Customs and the General Directorate of Social Security Resourcesreported the AFIP.
