The Association Dominican of Teachers (ADP) expressed his disagreement this Friday, indicating that in his recent meeting with the Ministry of Education (Minerd) no consensus was reached on several points of the agreements signed in 2022.
“We have attended this meeting with the hope of seeking a solution to the issues presented by the union and that are part of the points unfulfilled of the Agreement ADP-Minerd, but unfortunately we have not received any satisfactory response,” said Eduardo Hidalgo, president of the ADP.
In a publication on its social networks, the union indicated that the National Executive Committee of the ADP and its president participated in the meeting last Monday, in which the minister of EducationÁngel Hernández, with the purpose of reaching a consensus on the issues earrings.
He said that among the topics earrings of solution for teaching national is the Assessment of Performance Teacher, which Minerd announced will be held in April, about which the union has disagreement. The ADP wants to maintain the current scale, which gives a 17% incentive to teachers with “improveable” results, that is, those who obtain a grade of 60 to 69 points.
However, the Minerd established a new incentive modalitywhich consists of an increase wage from 17% to 32% for teachers who obtain results of 70 points or more.
Others topics earrings
The union explained that there are still earrings topics like hiring of teachers and teachers for the initial level, the sure of survival of the National Institute of Teacher Welfare (Inabima), the precariousness in schools, such as the lack of classrooms, the deterioration of infrastructure, water shortage, school overcrowding and the completion of schools in the process of construction.
Others unresolved points of the agreement, according to the ADPare completing the readjustment wage for pensioners and retirees with a monthly salary of 50,000 pesos, the indexation of pensions corresponding to the three accumulated years, the reduction from 4% to 1% at sure of survival for those who apply and Departmental Order 43-2019, on legal licenses.
“Plan of struggle“
The president of the ADP reported that the National Plenary of Leaders is being convened for the Thursday January 30in which “a single plan for struggle national”, among other points of interest for the teaching national.
