The survey carried out by the Fenapes Secretariat for Labor Affairs reveals the chaotic start of classes so many times denied by the authorities, the worst at least since the democratic reopening. As of the date of the report (April 10), 20,467 hours remain vacant throughout the country. In this sense, the greatest concern is given by the situation of Comprehensive Basic Education (EBI), which translates into thousands of students whose training is affected.
This degree of negligence responds to two fundamental components:
– The historic budget cut of 151 million dollars in the first two years of government, which directly affects the courses, with a lack of teachers and overcrowded groups.
– The arrogance and ineffectiveness of the administration, which carries out an election at a very poor time, despite constant warnings.
In times when the government is betting on marketing and communication to sell a supposed educational transformation, reality prevails. The setback is notorious, teachers, students and families have been noticing it these weeks. It is not transformation, it is adjustment.
