The Dominican Association of the Electrical Industry (ADIE) announced the appointment of José Rodríguez Silvestre as new presidentbeginning a management effort aimed at continuing to provide technical and sustainable solutions to strengthen the national electrical system, in collaboration with state authorities.
The ADIE He stressed that this new stage will maintain a strategic approach in planning, energy transitionthe security of supply and the institutional strengthening of the generation sector, as pillars for a more efficient, competitive and reliable electrical system for the country.
Rodriguez Silvestre is General manager of the Haina Electricity Generating Company (EGEHaina), the main public-private company in the Dominican Republic and one of the largest electricity generation companies in the country.
He has more than 20 years of experience in the energy sectorleading infrastructure investments that exceed 1,000 megawatts in renewable generation and conventional.

Since joining EGEHaina in 2006 as development director, and subsequently as general manager since 2023, Rodríguez has been a key player in the growth and diversification of the national energy matrix, promoting projects that have consolidated the company as a reference in the energy transition of the region.
Is Electrical Engineer for the University of Miami and has an MBA from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), training that complements with a leadership vision focused on sustainability, innovation and the development of human talent.

The union also reported that the rest of the directive will be made up of Roberto Herreraof the San Pedro de Macorís Electricity Company, who goes from the presidency to occupying the vice presidency; Edwin De Los Santos, from AES Andrés, as secretary; Antonio Ramírez, from Generadora San Felipe Limited Partnership, as treasurer; and Armando Rodríguez, from Seaboard; Ernesto Armenteros, from Grupo Energético 23, and Edgar Fuente, from the Dominican Metallurgical Complex, as directors.
