The political veteran of the AD related to the ruling party, Bernabé Gutiérrez, assured that they will not “legitimize” the actions of a group of parties that, through the interim, caused damage to the country
Bernabé Gutiérrez, general secretary of the Acción Democrática (AD) faction, which is recognized by the Supreme Court of Justice, ratified that this political organization will not participate in the process organized by the National Primary Commission because it considers that the results of this process to elect a unitary candidate already has results.
He assured that from that faction of AD there are no “ambiguous” positions, nor is there “fishing in a troubled river”; while he rejected the possibility of leaving the fate of the country in the hands of “pharisees”, referring to the parties that make up the G4 and whom he points out to be the main promoters of the primaries.
Gutiérrez also said that they will not legitimize “the criminal actions of a quartet that has used an ‘interim government’ to embezzle Venezuelan assets abroad”, repeated criticism from that sector of the actions of the opposition led by Juan Guaidó, President of the 2015 National Assembly and considered by a part of the international community as the president in charge of the country regarding the performance of companies such as Monómeros and Citgo.

AD’s position on the G4 primaries is firm. We do not participate, nor do we lend ourselves to legitimize the criminal actions of a quartet that has used an “interim government” to embezzle the country’s assets abroad.
