For the interpreter, on these dates there is no space for celebrations in a country that is in total decline, as he wrote in the post that is still visible on his wall.

However, after independent media outlets replicated it as well as users on social networks, the actor wrote a new post.
“Please, my Facebook account has been hacked. I just want to say that I do have a year-end to celebrate and so far I have no political problems. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” it reads. on your Facebook wall.
This sudden change of discourse, dozens of users who have commented on his profile attribute it to possible political pressure, due to the scope of the publication and the popularity of the artist.
Among the reactions, some have shown empathy and understand that out of fear he made the new post by retracting it; while others have been more critical in their comments and demand that they justify their fear with an “implausible” theory.
For her part, Lara López showed him screenshots of his previous publications, where he highlighted their critical tone towards the government and its institutions. “You’ve been hacked for a while then,” she jokingly wrote.
It is usual for the Cuban political police to pressure citizens for their posts on the networks if they stray from the official discourse. Even Decree-Law 370 criminalizes publications on networks and controls speech in cyberspace.
Mario Rodríguez has a career of four decades in Cuban television, radio and theater mainly. In 2000 he was recognized with the Cartoon Award and in 2019 with the ACTUAR Award for the Work of Life.
