CDMX, Mexico.- The popular Cuban actor Aramís Delgado has been recognized with the National Award for Theater 2023. The award was given to him in Camagüey, the city that hosts the central acts for the Day of the Cuban Theater.
Gerardo Fulleda León, member of the jury, stressed that he was deserving of recognition for the excellent work of Delgado, his sensitivity and charisma.
The news was communicated to the interpreter by telephone, who confessed to feeling excited and grateful for the news, as it is a very important Award for an actor.
“I love television and movies, but theater it’s my life, since I was a child, and it’s like being young again with this recognition”, assured who has interpreted more than 80 works of stage art.
The journalist from the official website CubaSí, Yuris Nórido, stands out that fifty institutions made proposals, among which were also nominated Raquel Carrió, Juan González Fife and Míriam Muñoz.
However, the jury headed by Corina Mestre chose Delgado among the 22 nominations.
Aramís Delgado, 80, in addition to extensive theater work, is well remembered for his characters on television. Among his performances, the soap operas “Magdalena”, “Entre partitions”, “If you could love me” and “Las húrfanas de la Obrapía” stand out.
At the cinema, Slim He participated in about thirty films, highlighting: “Vertical Love”, “Chamaco”, “Baraguá” and “La vida es silvar”, among others.
