leaders of the 62 Peronist Trade Union Organizations announced this Tuesday the normalization of the La Plata Regional of that traditional union entity and presented its new local authorities, in an act held at the headquarters of the White and Blue Association of the ukra (construction workers) of the provincial capital.
“We are raising the flag of the 62 Organizations, a beautiful, very heavy flag, which is not for everyone”he said at a press conference Ivan Tobarreferent of the La Plata Uocra and leader of the consensus list that the La Plata branch of the historic union coalition will lead.
Tobar was presented by the general secretary of the space and head of the Taxi Drivers Union, jose ibarrawho in the property of the streets 526 between 23 and 24 highlighted that the young leader “is a compañero committed to the labor movement, with the needs of his activity and with social needs.”
“After hard work for many months, a list of unity was reached,” he added, noting that “the union leadership is maturing, leaving aside the partisan fissure and the Argentine labor movement.”
The Secretary General of the Union of State Workers of the Argentine Republic (Utera) and normalizer of the Interior of ‘las 62’, also spoke, Ruben Grimaldiwho assured that representatives of 50 unions that supported the normalization participated in the act.
“Strengthening ‘the 62’ is the point to go out and discuss with those who are going to have the responsibility of being candidates in the short term and we are here to discuss, raise what is the thought of the labor movement, what is the participation that we have to have within of that organization,” said the leader.
Grimaldi explained that The normalization process has already been carried out in the Buenos Aires municipalities of Lanús, Avellaneda, Ezeiza and in the province of Salta. In addition, he mentioned that in the next few days the same task will be done in Tucumán and Bahía Blanca.
Consulted Tobar about the role that he has to fulfill, he indicated to Télam that “It doesn’t matter who leads, but the team that leads it.”
“We are very eager, have a lot of strength and we believe that it is time to work and move forward because the region needs youth, strength and whoever combs gray hair has to give us space and advise us, teach us to travel this long road,” he said.
In addition, the leader of the Uocra referred to the elections and although he avoided expressing himself about the presidential candidacies, he stressed that “as a Peronist” he supports “100% Governor Axel Kicillof” and assured that he supports an eventual candidacy for reelection.
The leaders led an act in front of the headquarters, workers from different unions came to listen to the announcement and, with drums and flags, they highlighted the act of normalization and celebrated the appointment of the new leadership.
