The director of the Indec, Marco Lavagna, announced the closure of the 2022 National Census operation, which he described as “very normal”, and announced that there will be a week to recover data of the dwellings that were pending.
“We will attend to the houses that were left uncensused,” added the official when asked about the houses that could not be registered during the 2022 national census.
“We are going to use different mechanisms to verify the houses that have not been registered. So far we have had some calls and some mails, It is a small portion and we are going to serve it”he explained.
These mechanisms will be published on the official page https://www.censo.gob.ar/.
Lavagna cataloged the day as “a very normal operation, we did not have major inconveniences.”
“We are very happy, we know that we can still have some housing left without a census. I know it can happen and we are seeing what the mechanisms are in the week we have in which we will deal with the cases of homes that were left unregistered, “he explained.
He then clarified that although they have not received a visit from a census taker, “those who did the digital census, we have the data. We take it as valid census data and we will be using it.”

Lavagna explained that “until now,” they have “had some calls and some emails.”
Regarding the homes not included in the census, he considered that “it is a small portion and we are going to attend to them”, and regarding those who carried out the digital census and were not visited later, he asserted that their responses “are already registered”.
Lavagna was consulted by the press about whether partial results of the 2022 National Census will be issued.
“This is not an election, We cannot give partial data, so I ask for your patience”answered.
