Chihuahua, Chih., Republican Greg Abbott, Governor of Texas, called on the government of Chihuahua to increase actions to contain undocumented migration on the border that Ciudad Juárez shares with El Paso, given an uptick in arrests and deportations of Haitians that occurred the previous week, and in follow-up to a collaboration agreement with the PAN head of the Chihuahuan Executive, María Eugenia Campos Galván, signed in April.
During the last week, more than 4,300 migrants crossed the border through Ciudad Juárez without documents and were processed for automatic deportation.
Most were taken to the El Paso airport for transfer on flights to their country of origin.reported the head of the Border Patrol in the El Paso sector, Gloria Chavez.
