Test docking at the Panama Cruise Terminal

The Panama Cruise Terminal continues to carry out the first docking tests with the Viking Orion cruise ship of the Viking Cruises company.

This vessel, with the Norwegian flag, carried out a Home Port type operation in said terminal, in which about 625 passengers disembarked for domestic tourism.

Flor Pitty, director of the Port and Maritime and Auxiliary Industries of the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP), explained that the terminal maintains an 83% progress and the work is expected to be completed in September 2022.

For this year the arrival of another two cruise ships is expected and for the coming year, about 25.

The Panama Cruise Terminal has a cost of $ 165 million.
