The Partisan Electoral Tribunal chaired by Dr. Santiago Brizuela met this morning and firstly received the representatives of the Fuerza Republicana movement, and then they met to analyze the movement’s request to replace the pre-presidential candidacy of Hugo Velázquez with the pre-presidential candidacy of Dr. Arnoldo Wiens.
At the end of the TEP session, Dr. Santiago Brizuela spoke at a press conference, who reported that the Electoral Tribunal is declared in permanent session and the regular and alternate members of the electoral body are convened for tomorrow, Thursday, at 11:00 a.m. in the Sessions Room of the TEP.
The members of the Electoral Tribunal decided to convene the General Representatives of the Colorado Honor Movement, Eduardo González, Magnolia Mendoza and Julio Mallorquín for 20 minutes tomorrow at 11 a.m. to hear their opinion on the request to replace Velázquez’s presidential candidacy. because that of Dr. Arnoldo Wiens for the Presidency of the Republic by Republican Force.
Then at 11:20 a.m. the TEP summons the General Representatives, Gregorio Aquino, José Zapata and Carlos Aquino of the Alianza Colorada Alternativa movement and at 11:40 a.m. the general representatives, Rafael Llerena, Agustín Acosta and Ramón Martínez of the Movimiento Hope Renewal Eclectic Social Colorado.
The objective is that all these general representatives can present their arguments regarding the presentation of the proposal for the registration of Arnoldo Wiens Durksen, as a pre-candidate for President of the Republic at the proposal of the Republican Force Movement.
The Partisan Electoral Court will listen to all the representatives of the movements that have a pre-presidential candidacy, but it is the TEP that will make the final decision, explained Dr. Santiago Brizuela.
