Representatives of the “Republican Force” movement, presented via a note a request for the substitution of the presidential candidacy. With this they seek to replace Hugo Velázquez with Arnoldo Wiens. From now on, the plenary session of the Partisan Electoral Tribunal (TEP), must enter the file and study it before resolving the request next week.
Rubén Rolón, executive secretary of the Partisan Electoral Tribunal (TEP), informed that within what the law determines, it is three days after all the pertinent controls are made. “Between Monday and Wednesday a draft resolution will be drafted, then the date to sign will be defined. It’s not going to happen next week,” he reported.
According to the TEP schedule of the ANR, issued on December 28, 2021, applications could be submitted until July 8.
