Tender opens for viaducts in the Barranquilla - Ciénaga corridor

The National Government, through the National Highways Institute (Invías) opened the bidding process for the construction of viaducts in the corridor Barranquilla – Ciénaga.

These structures offer a sustainable technical solution and a safe and comprehensive mobility to all those who move between the departmental capitals of Magdalena and Atlántico.“, said the Minister of Transportation, Angela María Orozco.

This project has a total budget of $ 700,000 million and will be awarded on March 7, 2022.

Expert engineering companies, both national and international, that are interested in the process may ppresent their proposals to the entity until February 4, 2022. During the execution of the project, more than 3,800 jobs will be generated that benefit, mainly, the inhabitants of this Caribbean region.

Invías completed this year the first phase of this schedule, with which it carried out protection works on the side of the road between km 18 + 900 and km 20 + 000 to ensure that this section was no longer susceptible to coastal erosion.

The second phase, which is currently underway, consists of the construction of a multilayer rocker and the reinforcement of critical points in the corridor, after an investment close to $ 10,000 million.
