More than 15 companies are seeking to carry out the work of the new airport in the Coffee Region, whose award is scheduled for December.
The Ministry of Transportation, together with Civil Aeronautics and the Autonomous Heritage of Aerocafé, reported that the bidding process for the construction of the Café Airport continues.a work considered key to strengthening air connectivity and the development of the Coffee Axis. The entity announced that adjustments were made to the final specifications of the process, after evaluating observations made by interested parties.
The changes were reviewed from technical, legal and financial aspects by the competent entities.with the aim of guaranteeing a participatory and competitive process. According to the Ministry, the modifications seek to promote transparency and plurality in the selection of the contractor in charge of executing the work.

According to the official schedule, the receipt of offers will take place on November 13 and the contract award is scheduled for December 15. The Aerocafé project is presented as one of the most relevant infrastructure works for the central-western area of the country. Its construction seeks to improve regional and national connectivity, reducing travel times and strengthening the competitiveness of the Coffee Axis compared to other air corridors in the country.
