The National Forestry Corporation (Conaf) reported that the Ten Tanker plane has already been repaired and is preparing to depart from the Carriel Sur Airport in Bío Bío towards Ninhue, in the Ñuble region, to fight the forest fires in the area.
The plane presented failures in the valve of engine one, which had already had problems. After 20 hours of work by mechanics from the American company, the Ten Tanker is again operational with 93% of its power.
From the Conaf they detailed “today it is scheduled to make its first discharge during the morning in the Casablanca 3 forest fire in the Ninhue commune, Ñuble Region, which affects 9,200 hectares.”
The plane had the first failure on Tuesday and was repaired to resume operations on Thursday. However, yesterday it had a fault again that was repaired.
After overcoming yesterday’s mechanical failure, the #TenTanker will launch its first discharge this morning in the Casablanca 3 forest fire in the commune of #NinhueÑuble Region, which preliminarily affects 9,200 hectares.
