The National Police, through the Judicial Investigation Directorate (DIJ) and in association with the Public Ministry, carried out operations Juárez and Judak at dawn today, in order to dismantle two criminal groups dedicated to the crimes of Money Laundering and Assembly and Conspiracy to commit crimes related to Drugs.
More than 30 search procedures were carried out in both operations, which were carried out in the provinces of Panama, Panama West and Colon.
In these proceedings, 35 people are apprehended, including 10 officials and 5 port workers.
4 firearms, technological equipment, 14 vehicles, various documents and other evidence collected by the Drug Prosecutor’s Office as part of the investigations were seized.
For the moment, more than 61,000 dollars have also been confiscated in several of the raided points where members of these organizations were located.
