A total of 10 members of criminal groups were killed during four operations carried out in recent hours in Caracas, Zulia, Miranda and Bolívar, according to military sources.
Five of the ten killed fell on Tuesday night in the Kilometer 25 sector via Perijá, Jesús Enrique Lossada municipality (La Concepción), Zulia.
The victims are members of the criminal organization El Chocolate, specialized in extortion, vaccine collection, hitmen, robbery and theft.
The subjects faced a mixed commission made up of members of Polizulia and the Cicpc. At the site of the scuffle, officials collected two firearms and two motorcycles.
In another procedure, three members of the Guayana Train, dedicated to hit men, extortion and illegal mining, were killed, according to reports from the Bolivarian National Guard. This operation took place in the El Chile sector, El Callao municipality, Bolívar state.
After the confrontation, the military seized a Pietro Beretta 9 mm pistol, two chargers, 13 unfired cartridges, a 12-gauge shotgun with no visible markings, 30 7.62×51 mm caliber cartridges for rifles, two radio transmitters, and two tactical vests with patches alluding to the Guayana Train.
And in the San Andrés sector, El Valle parish, Caracas, one of the members of the gang founded by Leonardo José Polanco Angulo (Loco Leo) fell dejected and is identified with the nickname Kevin Fox. This operation was led by the Contra Unit Criminal Bands of the Bolivarian National Police.
Another member of the aforementioned criminal organization was killed in the Bicentenario neighborhood, Urdaneta municipality (Cúa), Miranda, according to a report from the Polinacional Office against Organized Crime.
In this case, the victim is Edgar Alexander Barrios Vegas (Váquiro). At the site, police officers seized a Px4 pistol with no visible serial numbers, according to the report.
