A new storm hit the metropolitan region of São Paulo on the afternoon of Monday (10).
There was a record of over 100mm of rain in Guarulhos, with flooding in neighborhoods near the Tietê River and in the city center.
The cities of Osasco and Barueri also had flooded streets. In the state capital, the Emergency Management Center decreed a state of attention throughout the city.

Guarulhos had several flooding points, according to the firefighters and the Civil Defense.
“The Civil Defense recorded 6 occurrences of flooding in homes, in the neighborhoods Vila Florida, Centro, Jd. Nazaré and Cocaia; two occurrences of tree falls in Cocaia, and the partial collapse of the Etec Wall in Cecap Park.”
The city said it is conducting support for affected families.
According to the Fire Department, 56 calls were received for help in flooding and floods, 18 of which in Guarulhos, as well as 26 calls for trees and three for collapse or landslides. There is no record of victims.
The corporation also searched in streams and in the vicinity of a pool in Capão Redondo, south of the city, where last Friday was informed the disappearance of a young man because of the rains.
