Temperatures in Nicaragua could reach up to 37 degrees Celsius during Holy Week

A Holy Week is forecast with intense heat waves and strong winds throughout the Nicaraguan territory. According to the Natural Phenomena Observatory (Ofena), the high temperatures are due to an anticyclone system.

The temperatures for this Monday, April 3, in the Pacific zone will be from 22 to 26 degrees, maximums of 29 to 37, while for the north of Nicaragua the temperature is maintained from 18 to 24, maximums of 28 to 33 degrees. .

In the southern area of ​​the mining triangle, Ofena forecasts a maximum temperature of 27 to 33 degrees, while in the Caribbean, a sunny day of 27 to 29 degrees Celsius is expected.

While the wind speeds in the Pacific will be 24.72 kilometers per hour and in the central region (Estelí, Madriz, Nueva Segovia) it will be 36.51, and in Jinotega, Matagalpa and Boaco they will be 33.55 kilometers per hour; and Chontales 35.51, for an average of 33 to 55 kilometers per hour.

Winds in the North Atlantic Autonomous Region of Nicaragua are expected to be 27 to 42 kilometers per hour, while the RAAS is expected to be 33 to 43, for an average of 27 to 43.

As for vacationers, the Nicaraguan Institute for Territorial Studies (Ineter) warns them to be careful with the tides, since on the Pacific beaches they are expected to reach a height of 2.1 meters from Corinto to San Juan del Sur.

For Saturday, April 8, the highest peak of the tide could be recorded in the Port of Corinto, thus reaching 2.4 and 2.5 meters in height.

Citizens from various parts of the country have reported that since the morning and afternoon of this Monday the heat was very strong; many have already chosen to install portable pools to be able to “cool off”.
