Justice on Wednesday charged two 16-year-old adolescents as the author and co-author of the murder of a 68-year-old bartender who was murdered on the night of the April 29 of the current year during a robbery to the business owned by the victim, located in Lezica.
The crime occurred when criminals entered the “El Flecha” canteen (as the victim was known), located in Lezica and La Niña. After posing as customers, the antisocials took out game weapons and demanded money and belongings. However, the owner of the premises resisted and fought with the assailants, for which one of them shot and killed him.
After completing the crime, the assailants took the clients’ belongings, including one of them’s truck.
Previously, the Prosecutor’s Office charged the two minors (arrested during a raid) with the crimes of carrying a weapon, for which they were interned at the Inisa. At the time, the officials of the Public Ministry could only formalize the young people for this crime, as they did not have elements that linked them to the murder.
They got caught by cell phones
Multiple complaints of cell phone thefts as well as the investigation of the homicide led the Police to carry out a search.
During the intervention, the police officers found several cell phones, among which were those of the adolescents. After examining them, the authorities found audios and messages that placed them at the scene of the homicide and linked them to it.
With these new elements the prosecution formalized the two young men for homicide, as well as for illegal possession of weapons.
