The 1st Control Court of the Criminal System for Adolescent Responsibility of Carabobo sentenced a 14-year-old adolescent to six years and eight months in prison, who admitted responsibility for the femicide of his 5-year-old half-sister, reported the Public ministry.
In this same case, Yessica Carolina Rodríguez González (34), mother of the victim, is accused of omitting the facts.
The situation occurred on October 24, 2022 in the Yagua parish, Guacara, Carabobo state. During the early hours of that day, the victim was at his home without supervision; while her mother was in a meeting with some neighbors, so she left the girl with her stepbrother.
The body of the minor was found in a septic tank in the house. The autopsy determined that the girl died as a result of a skull fracture caused by a beating and 15 stab wounds, in addition to showing signs of sexual abuse.
