Teenager accused of bullying at Colegio Loyola in Bolívar

This Wednesday, the Public Ministry charged the teenager Carlos Eduardo Rodríguez with bullying at Colegio Loyola, located in Bolívar state, reported the attorney general, Tarek William Saab.

Through his account on the social network Twitter, Saab explained that the action was carried out by the Ninth Prosecutor’s Office of the state of Bolívar and the teenager was charged with “personal injuries due to the facts related to harassment and school violence.”

“#Today was #indicted by the Ninth #Prosecutor of Bolívar, the adolescent: Carlos Eduardo Rodríguez for the #crime of Personal Injury due to the facts related to harassment and school violence that occurred at the Loyola School #JUSTICE”, he specified on Twitter .

Given the case in Bolívar state on April 29, the Public Ministry had appointed the 9th Prosecutor of that state to initiate an investigation related to acts of school violence at the Loyola School, Puerto Ordaz, “where a minor was subject to physical injury and psychological damage.

In recent days, Saab said through Twitter: “We cannot allow the serious social issue of bullying that generates serious psychological damage and school desertion to be trivialized.”

The Public Ministry has instructed all the Superior Prosecutors of the country to attend “in a timely and exemplary manner” the cases of bullying that occur in each region of the national territory.

“We have #instructed [email protected] [email protected] Superior Prosecutors of the Public Ministry @MinpublicoVEN of the country: #attend in a timely manner and #exemplify the cases of #SCHOOL HARASSMENT that occur in their regions #NoAlMaltratoEscolar #JUSTICIA”, details the attorney general on his Twitter account.

Bill

Last March, the Public Ministry presented to the National Assembly (AN) the Bill to Prevent and Address Bullying in Children and Adolescents.

“It is not only a law of principle, it is a law that also provides for a general sanctioning provision because something has to be penalized where the person who suffers the harassment ends up with emotional, psychological disorders,” Saab said, during an interview on Venezolana de Televisión ( TVV).

The law contemplates the accompaniment, advice and assistance to all those infants who are victims of harassment or violence.

To accompany this law, said the Attorney General, teams must be created for prevention, approach, accompaniment and assistance to care for victims and judicial processes will be established in those schools, teachers and personnel who violate the provisions that are based on harassment. or school violence, as well as cyber or computer bullying and suicide induction.
