Tecnópolis reopens its doors during the winter holidays with new proposals

Admission to shows and events will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tecnópolis, the largest art, science and technology mega-exhibition in Latin America, will open the doors of the Villa Martelli site for its eleventh edition from next July 16 and until the end of October under the motto “Sovereign Argentina, creating futures”with new cultural and educational proposals for all ages, by more than 60 organizations and institutions.

The Ministry of Culture informed through its website that the 50-hectare park will open from Wednesday to Sunday from 12 noon to 7 p.m., during the winter break and that from August it can be visited from Thursday to Sunday; As always, admission is free and advance reservations are not required.

For the recitals, shows and talks in the different auditoriums, admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis; After the winter holidays, the mega exhibition will remain open from Thursday to Sunday until October 23.

This year, in line with the 40th anniversary of the Malvinas War and the 100th anniversary of YPF, among other notable events in our history, Tecnópolis invites us to think about sovereignty as the engine for building futures.

Environmental, cultural, technological, energy, productive and food sovereignty, as well as education, inclusion, solidarity, equality and the expansion of rights, will be the conceptual axes on which this new edition of Tecnópolis is based.

As of August and in coordination with the Ministry of Education, School visits from all over the country will returnwho will be able to take different thematic tours and enjoy innovative cultural proposals.

New proposals

One of the most anticipated novelties will be the inauguration of the Amazing Park of Zamba and Ninawhich will invite you to participate in an interactive kermesse, a postcard walk to go through the timeline that led us to Independence, and different activations, squares and routes, to project dreams and desires towards the future.

Children can also enjoy Floatingan art and exploration space for girls and boys from 6 months.

Starting in July, Tecnópolis will present the expansion of its Electronic Arts Laboratorys, a space that exhibits digital art installations and offers workshops on robotics, video games, music and performances.

In line with the motto of this edition, the Park invites you to discover the exhibition “The sea as territory”, a large space for interactive exploration of Argentine waters, with more than 3,600 square meters, which will seek to bring public policies linked to maritime sovereignty, the importance of preserving biodiversity and natural resources.

In coordination with the Ministry of Science, also an exhibition on aerospace sovereignty will be inauguratedwith interactive experiences to learn about satellites, rockets, satellite orbits, telecommunications and developments in our aerospace industry.

The Ministry of Science will also present two new play spaces to learn through play and experimentation; one of them is Identities without limits – A journey of humanity, an interactive, sensory and creative exhibition that seeks to build and deconstruct the evolutionary history and migration of humanity. Imagination, meanwhile, invites you to explore nanotechnology, robotics, programming and artificial intelligence.

In this new edition of Tecnópolis, the most popular spaces in the Park will also return with new proposals, such as the Land of Dinos, The House of the Colossus, Heaven on the Sidewalkthe exhibition that proposes a journey through the universes of the great María Elena Walsh, and Soup of Books, the space devoted to literature.

Starting in August, the new Arroró early childhood space will invite you to live an innovative immersive experience that explores the senses with stimuli that appeal to sensitivity and the ability to imagine.

More than 60 organizations will participate in the mega exhibition, with different interactive experiences on art, science, technology, productive development, energy, gender, environment and sustainability, among other topics.

The Ministry of Science will reopen its emblematic spaces within the Park with new content and activities: Bichos, Fábrica, Espacio CONICET -with an exhibition on glaciers-, the Integrated Sustainable Biodevelopment Project, Argentina in space and Newton’s House.

For its part, Cuentas Públicos SE will present new developments at ANIMAR / MoCap, the studio that operates one of the largest motion capture systems in Latin America. It will also inaugurate an immersive audiovisual show to celebrate 15 years of Canal Encuentro.

In this edition, the pole dedicated to movement and urban expressions will continue, presented in conjunction with the National Ministry of Tourism and Sports. It will reopen the Skatepark -one of the largest in Argentina-, the 3×3 basketball courts, the skating rink, the arena, the space to play table tennis and a program of dance, breaking and parkour workshops, in the Galpón Mil Hours.

In the different auditoriums and stages of Tecnópolis, visitors can enjoy a wide and diverse artistic program that includes music, theater, dance, performance talks, workshops and much more.

La Bomba de Tiempo, Agustine Cumbia, El Mago y la Nueva, Los Sachas, Bruno Arias, Zoe Gotusso, Mario Luis, Calle Vapor, Peteco Carabajal, Connie Isla, 1915, Rayos Láser, Mora Navarro, Axel Fiks, Ronpe99 and Javier Malosetti , are some of the artists who will present their concerts during the first weeks of the show.

In addition, every week the Patio Federal stage, in charge of the Federal Council of Culture, will bring together artists and groups from all over the country with the contribution of the Market of Cultural Industries of Argentina (MICA).
