Technm expands registration with its virtual modality and the extension of institutes

To fulfill the commitment to open 85 thousand spaces in its enrollment during this Government, the National Technological of Mexico (TECNM) will launch the Virtual Technm modality and the Extension of some of the institutesreported the general director of this institution Ramón Jiménez López.

We will launch what we call the extension of institutes, that is, educational centers that depend on one of the 254 headquarters of the TECNMhe pointed to this newspaper.

He explained that these centers are installed in communities near some of the institutions already established. One of them, he said, is in Tecamac, State of Mexico, which depends on the Technological Institute of Tlalnepantla. In this case, he explained, “the municipal government provided us with a building in the community and we put teachers.

Another example is the center that belongs to the Technological Institute of Comitancillo, in which inhabitants of a population that is at an hour asked that an educational center of the TecnM be opened, and these days already premiere the new buildinghe mentioned.

As for the distance modality, he pointed out that through the Virtual Technm program hopes that 40 percent of the registration will study this way. What we want is to make a unique model to gradually increase coverage.

At present, he explained, the institution has 27 thousand students who study online, which represents almost 5 percent of their student universe. The technm generates 40 percent of engineers in Mexicohe said.

With the increase in registration, they hope to reach approximately 660 thousand students at the end of the six -year period.
