A technical meeting was held on Tuesday between the national government and the authorities of the ABC islands, belonging to the Kingdom of Netherlandsto refine the details for the reopening of the maritime borders with Curaçao, Bonaire and Aruba.
The information was released, through his account on the social network Twitter, by the Vice Minister for Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Franklin Ramírez, who recalled that the meeting was held as part of the Roadmap with the Netherlands, to reactivate maritime borders.
It should be remembered that the authorities of both countries plan to reopen the borders on April 3 (Curaçao and Bonaire) and May 1 (Aruba).
“As part of the Roadmap with the Netherlands, a constructive technical meeting was held with authorities from the ABC islands to be all prepared for the reopening of the maritime borders on April 3 (Curaçao and Bonaire) and 01 May (Aruba)”, published the Vice Minister through Twitter.

Vice Minister Ramírez, in addition to highlighting that the meeting was constructive, stressed that these actions are carried out “under the principle of goodwill.”
He also stressed that with this technical meeting “the objectives set with the nautical authorities of the Kingdom of the Netherlands were achieved.”
