Brazil ended its participation in the Paralympic Judo World Championship held in Baku (Azerbaijan) with the conquest of two more medals this Thursday (10th), a silver with the women’s team and a bronze with the men’s team. In the general classification, the Brazilian team finished in fourth position, the best performance of the country in the history of the competition.

In the dispute for women’s teams, Alana Maldonado, Brenda Freitas, Erika Zoaga, Larissa Oliveira, Lúcia Araújo, Rebeca Silva and Rosi Andrade remained behind only the Ukraine team, but ahead of Turkey, the International Federation of Sports for the Blind ( IBSA) and India, securing the second position.
As for the men’s teams, Arthur Silva, Elielton Oliveira, Harlley Arruda, Marcelo Casanova, Sergio Fernandes, Thiego Marques and Wilians Araújo were behind only the teams from Turkey and Azerbaijan.
Now the focus of the Brazilian team is the participation in the IBSA Pan American, between December 8 and 12 in Edmonton (Canada).
