A team of the University of Havana (UH) qualified for the World Final of the International Programming Contest (ICPC), which will be held in Egypt.
The UH Top team from the UH School of Mathematics and Computing got the ticket by leading the Caribbean region final with 9 problems solved, as reported the official site cubadebate.
The contest was held this Saturday at the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI) in Havana, and the regional podium was completed by the YesReturn (University of Las Tunas) teams with 5 solved problems and UH IOIn’t, also from the UH , with 4 problems solved.
All the Cuban teams that participated in the event managed to solve at least one problem, reports the outlet.

At the Latin American level, the group that won the Caribbean final ranked ninth among 309 teams from various Latin American universities.
In that instance, developed in parallel, the title went to the Argentine team Una ma y no inchamo ma, from the University of Buenos Aires, which solved 12 problems. Two Brazilian teams completed the podium, both with 11 problems resolved,
The ICPC World Final will take place in Egypt in November. The contest will bring together the best teams in the world in a competition that will put their programming and problem solving skills to the test, concludes cubadebate.
