Teachers, state and health workers of Río Negro started this Tuesday stoppage that will last for 48 hours and will include demonstrations in Viedma and other localities, claiming salary improvements and in rejection of discounts for strike days.
The Government of Rio Negro announced that “April teacher salaries will be paid with a 4% increasebut I know three days of unemployment will be deductedtwo corresponding to the month of March and one to April”.
The salary proposal of the Executive headed by Arabela Carreras establishes a 24% increase for the first semester and review in the first half of June.
“With the April salaries, the 4% increase proposed for this month will be settled, on account of a future salary agreement,” it was detailed.
In this context, the Congress of trade union delegates of the Union of Education Workers of Río Negro (Under) turned down salary offer and decided by majority to hold a strike between today and tomorrow and call another force measure for May 4 and 5.
The teachers also announced that during these days of unemployment “local activities will be carried out in the Provincial Institute of Health Insurance (Ipross) and in Revenues of the province.”
For their part, the state workers of ATE will protest in front of the headquarters of the Child, Adolescent and Family Service (Senaf) and the Human Development portfolio, while on Wednesday they will gather in front of the Ministry of Education and on Thursday in the Ministry of Health.
ATE initially agreed to a 24% increase in the semester, with other improvements, including a bonus of 15,000 pesos, which was presented as a “reinforcement” of last year’s guideline.
The claim is focused on re-negotiating the agreed percentage, advancing the review initially set for the first half of June and claims to return to parity in May, according to union sources.
For their part, the hospitalists grouped in Aspur are planning their own actions at the Artémides Zatti care center in the capital of Rio Negro with assemblies, retention of tasks and mobilizations that will take place today, tomorrow and Thursday in the different regions of the province.
Health professionals are not part of the formal joint negotiations in the province and did not accept the 24% offered by the Government of Arabela Carrera, which does not recognize the union because “it is not formally constituted,” the president told Télam at the time. .
For its part, the Río Negro branch of UPCN accepted the provincial government’s proposal for a salary increase of 24% for the first semester.
