In the program Cable a Tierra, broadcast by VTV Radio, the president of the Teachers’ Movement, Keiwer Andrade, valued the national government’s support policies for the country’s teachers, and recalled that the teaching profession is one of the sectors hardest hit by the unilateral coercive measures imposed against Venezuela. “These policies progressively restore teachers’ quality of life,” he said.
He explained that one of the topics that have been discussed in the Congress of the Historical Block is how to deepen the quality of life of workers. In that sense, he indicated that, this week, educators have received attention in operations and medical services, which responds to the organization maintained by the national Government through the constituent power, which allows the participation of workers to generate proposals in favor of the well-being of the population.
Likewise, Andrade specified that, in the six thousand assemblies that have been held in Venezuelan territory, in the context of the New Era Congress, three thousand 977 social movements belonging to the educational sector have participated. “This reflects the receptivity that teachers have, because education is a priority to generate a process of profound transformation, accompanied by the people.”
In this order of ideas, the representative of the Teachers’ Movement highlighted the improvement of schools, through the Military Community Brigades of Education and Health (Bricomiles), which integrate the educational community. For her part, journalist Karen Méndez highlighted that there is a plan to improve teachers, as well as educational institutions, as part of the roadmap to train new generations.
